Core Benefits & Experience

  • Benefit Profile: Smooth fermented dark tea for gentle long-term daily wellness. May help support gut comfort, ease post-meal bloating, and fight occasional feelings of bodily heaviness. Ultra-gentle for all ages.
  • Tasting Experience: Glossy dark leaves brew into a deep red-brown liquor. Delivers a rich velvety sip with aged and earthy notes, zero bitterness, and a warm, comforting finish for the stomach. Great steeped or simmered.

Key Features

  • The “Wò Duī” Fermentation – A Mellow Transformation
The core “wo dui” (pile-fermentation) process naturally transforms the tea leaves over weeks. This unique method mellows the tea’s character, developing its signature aged, layered aromas and creating its exceptionally smooth, full-bodied texture.
  • A Tea That Ages Gracefully
Unlike many teas, Liubao Tea possesses excellent aging potential. When stored properly, its flavor deepens and complexifies over time, with aromas becoming richer and more pronounced, offering a journey for collectors and enthusiasts.
  • Protected Origin, Assured Authenticity
As a product with protected geographical indication status, it is sourced exclusively from the Liubao region in Wuzhou, Guangxi, and processed according to traditional methods, guaranteeing its authentic character.
  • Surprisingly Versatile
Its robust body and aged notes make it adaptable. It can be enjoyed straight, appreciated for its pure flavor, or serve as a substantial base for creative drinks with milk or honey, making it more approachable than common perceptions might suggest.

Origin & Growing Environment
Our Liubao Tea comes from Liubao Town in Wuzhou, Guangxi. The region’s humid subtropical climate provides ideal natural conditions for the tea’s post-production fermentation. The tea grows in acidic, mineral-rich soil. The tea gardens are maintained using natural methods without synthetic pesticides or chemical fertilizers.

Cultivation & Craftsmanship

  • We employ natural cultivation methods and harvest mature leaves suitable for fermentation.
  • The essence of Liubao is the “wo dui” fermentation. The leaves are piled and carefully tended for weeks, allowing microbial activity to develop the tea’s deep aromas and smooth texture. After fermentation, the tea is dried and often allowed to age further, stabilizing and enriching its flavor.

Three Ways to Enjoy

  1. Hot Brew (Classic & Comforting)
Ideal after meals or for a relaxing moment. Use 1 sachet per 300ml (10 oz) of water at 205-212°F (96-100°C). Steep for 3-4 minutes to fully extract its rich, mellow character. A slice of dried date can complement its natural sweetness.
  2. Cold Brew (Smooth & Refreshing)
For a uniquely smooth iced tea. Use 1 sachet with 500ml (17 oz) of cold water. Refrigerate for 4-6 hours. The result is a velvety, full-bodied drink with subtle aged notes and no bitterness.
  3. Creative Infusions
    • Dark Tea Latte: Add warm milk or oat milk to hot-brewed tea for a creamy, robust drink.
    • Spiced Warmth: Brew tea with a thin slice of ginger and a touch of honey.
    • Fruit-Infused: Steep cold brew with hawthorn berries or dried tangerine peel for added complexity.
